Customizing Your QR Code Design
After choosing your QR code type and entering content, the creation wizard moves to the design step. Here you can adjust colors, add a logo, and pick a pattern.
Colors
- Foreground color — the dark modules that form the scannable pattern. Defaults to black.
- Background color — the space behind the modules. Defaults to white.
Maintain strong contrast between foreground and background. Dark on light scans most reliably. Avoid combinations like light gray on white.
Logo
Upload a logo to place in the center of your QR code. QRelix positions it automatically, and the code's error correction keeps it scannable.
Supported formats: PNG, JPG, SVG. Square images with a solid or transparent background work best.
Patterns and styles
Choose from several module shapes:
- Square — classic QR code look with sharp corners.
- Rounded — softer corners for a modern feel.
You can also customize the finder patterns (the three large squares in the corners) independently from the data modules.
Tips
- Test before printing. Scan your customized code on multiple devices before finalizing.
- Don't oversize the logo. A smaller logo scans more reliably.
- Match your brand colors for the foreground, and keep the background neutral.
- Leave a quiet zone — maintain clear margin around the code, at least 4 modules wide.
The wizard shows a live preview as you adjust settings. When you're happy with the design, continue to Security & Access Controls or skip ahead to Downloading & Printing.
